The Nickerson Company provided construction services on an as-needed basis for the City of Culver City. The most recent project, the Symantec Campus Project utilized various aspects of Mr. Nickerson’s expertise. Some of the work included the following:

Metro EXPO Light Rail Transit
(City of Culver City)
Project consisted of site development work which included construction of new curb and gutter and ADA structures and reconstruction of roadway with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

Manchester Boulevard Corridor Roadway Improvement Project
(City of Inglewood)
Provided inspection services for overlay of 3 miles of 6-lane roadway, installation of 100 wheelchair ramps, and rehabilitation of existing sidewalks.

2008-09 Residential Street Improvement Project
(City of Inglewood)
Work consisted of cold milling and overlay on existing pavement with Asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM) of 15 residential streets.

Fire Station No. 3 Fiber Optic Installations
(City of Culver City)
Installed 2 miles of fiber optic cable in existing asphalt roadway to provide internet connection to new fire station.

Overland Avenue 12" Water Main Replacement
(Golden State Water Company)
Installed 1 mile of 12" ductile iron water main line. This project required compaction of backfill material and patching of streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters.

Culver West Alexander Park
(City of Culver City)
Rehabilitation consisted of demolition and removal of existing vacated restroom, softball infield, horseshoe pit, constructing a new decomposed granite walking/jogging trail, and landscaping.

Symantec Campus Project
(City of Culver City)
A high-visibility, $187 million project. Inspections for the 10-acre site involved underground utilities, on/off-site, the construction of a 72" storm water system, and curb and gutter construction.

Carson Street Improvement
(City of Culver City)
Work on this project consisted of the removal and reconstruction of the concrete sidewalks, drive approaches, curbs and gutters, curb ramps, removal and replacement of 37 parkway trees, cold milling the roadway pavement, and constructing a new 2" rubberized asphalt overlay.
