The Nickerson Company provided construction services on an as-needed basis for the City of Culver City. The most recent project, the Symantec Campus Project utilized various aspects of Mr. Nickerson’s expertise. Some of the work included the following: Underground Utility Inspection Provided inspection services for underground utilities, off-site work, on-site work for the successful completion of the campus project. The project also involved the construction of a 72” storm water system constructed to reduce natural flows in the storm water system during rain events; constructed curb and gutter and walkways throughout the 10-acre project site; installed water line for fire and domestic services. In addition, off-site work involved street improvements including reconstruction of public roadways, sidewalks and drive approaches, street trees and roadway striping and sewer construction. SWPPP Inspection Provided inspection for storm water runoff to assure compliance with all applicable NPDES and AQMD regulations for both capital improvement and private development projects. Various Construction Inspection Projects Provided construction inspection for residential asphalt overlays utilizing rubberized asphalt and PetroMat to improve deteriorated streets and nine (9) residential roadways; other work included cold milling, construction of curb and gutters, street lighting and traffic signals. Washington Boulevard Resurfacing This project involved the overlay of Washington Boulevard from Sepulveda Boulevard to Elenda Avenue. The work included removal and reconstruction of new drive approaches and sidewalks, adjustments of manhole and utility vaults in the roadway, wheelchair ramps, and other ADA requirements, and pavement striping and markers. Culver Boulevard and Partial Reconstruct Work included removal of existing asphalt pavement to the depth of 14” and reconstruct utilizing geo-fabric, CMB material, and paving with asphalt material.
